Mike has has a fine blog where he writes about being spanked by his wife. Here is part of his explanation of the role of domestic discipline in his marriage:
One: I have a sexual fascination with spanking. Simply put, it turns me on. Almost every threat (or promise?) of a spanking, and specifically when I am requested to lower my clothes to bare my bottom, or even when being called upstairs because I am going to spank you, results in me becoming rock hard. The conclusion of this is that the spanking, before it starts, is not discipline, but sexual.
Two: Can Lynn force me to do something I do not want to do simply by spanking me. The answer has to be a re-sounding NO! I am too strong willed. Lynn has never spanked me for an unreasonable reason. Lynn is bringing to my attention by spanking me, some facet that she is unhappy with, that is relatively easy for me to correct.
Three: In terms of discipline, it does allow a way to solve silly, stupid little tiffs, that could build into major arguments. Like most couples, this did occur in our past. It is best to have both people listen to each other, but one has to be the decision maker on the small things when a difference of opinion occurs. The spanking is a wake-up call that says “I LOVE you”, but you cannot do the following item…
Four: Then how is this discipline really discipline. The spanking is hard enough that it is something to be avoided, and something you would not want repeated daily, let alone twice in one day as recently happened. Thus, the spanking is a disciplinary spanking, as opposed to a play spanking.
Five: After being spanked, I thank Lynn for spanking me. Sometimes we immediately cuddle and make passionate love. Sometimes we wait until evening, and occasionally it has been two days before we made love. But when we do, it is passionate. It is like make-up sex, without having to have the upset of screaming and shouting and being cold and saying hurtful things. My bottom is spanked, and it hurts, but then it is OVER, and we can be back together again as lovers.
